Mother, Dearest: Book 1

Spice Level: 🌶🌶🌶

Naz’s mother is dead and he couldn’t be happier.

Mother Dearest

Nominated for Best Speculative Fiction in the Queer Indie 2021 AND 2022 Awards.

Naz has been drifting through life, hoping that nobody would notice him, but when his abusive mother dies, he feels true peace for the first time.

That is, until he begins to see fairytale creatures, a half-dead talking deer, and other things that should not exist but are all telling him the same thing.

The world is in danger, and only he can save it.

Great book! Love the queer representation, intriguing story and characters with twisted motivations. Would definitely recommend reading if you enjoy dark urban fantasy books.

Not once did I know what to expect from this story and I absolutely loved that. A seamless blend of fantasy, urban, horror, fairy tale and the bizarre weave together and create this beautifully unique book.

I read this overnight as I could not put it down. It galloped along with unexpectedness everywhere and beautifully written. It left me with a lot to think about too, particularly pre-conceived ideas I have held for a long time. I look forward to reading more by the author.
