Will Tom embrace his new destiny, and can he make it out unscathed?

The Blood Mage is the first book in a new YA series, and a spinoff of the fantastical Evers Series. While fans of Lola Evers’ adventures will be especially excited about this new story, new readers do not need to have read the Evers Series to enjoy this book.

★★★★★
The story is serious, fast-paced, with lovely prose and delightful characters, that end with a nail-biting cliffhanger and yet still is capable of making us fully satisfied before that. It’s a fantastic journey and I recommend it to everyone who has read the Evers Series, and also to those who haven’t, as the book stands for itself with no issue.

Amazon review

★★★★
This is the kind of fantasy book that’s best enjoyed with a mug of hot tea on a rainy afternoon. Spectacular powers, rival magic boarding schools, a strong element of coming-of-age – this is the stuff of Harry Potter-esque comfort, found in bulk here, but with Marie-Hélène Lebeault’s distinctive details and twists keeping you on your toes.

This is a new author for me and I enjoyed this story of Tom, his friends, their magic and the mystery of his kidnapped sister immensely. I was drawn into the world and the characters’ lives and had to keep reading to see what would happen next.
