I enjoyed that we got to focus on multiple characters throughout this book. I liked the build up throughout the first couple of chapters that just got me ready for action and finally the confrontation with the Master. The twist was definitely something I didn’t expect and if you love an action packed fantasy then I would checkout this trilogy!

Tom is back and battling the Master. But that’s not all to this story. It is about his friends (at Harding and The Academy), life and death, and love. To resolve the issues with the Master, Tom has many more things about himself he needs to deal with. His world is one of forgiveness, but he has to cultivate that. The writing is simple, clear and to the point.
