Can you find the key before the man with the cane finds you?

The Key

From an early age, Sophie Lee Harris was chosen to be the keeper of the key without any choice. Designed to survive anything thrown at her, it’s a challenge she’s able to keep. The only problem is, she can’t remember where she hid it after a traumatic car accident leaves her with amnesiaโ€ฆ.

James Moore loves his best friends, Tina and Ben, like family. It’s time for their yearly trip to his parents house. Despite Tina’s determination to get him to settle down with a woman, it is the chance meeting with a strange girl running from a group of thugs with guns that is about to change his life forever.

Will they be able to recover her memories before the man with the cane closes in? Is the key to her survival lost forever? Together, they scramble to put the pieces in place, but time is running out, and lives are being taken. Who will be sacrificed next?

There is not a dull moment in this book, each page contains twists, turns and tidbits about each character. A nicely woven web of mystery and action that moves seamlessly from present day to plot-changing memories. I canโ€™t wait to learn more about Sophie and her family in the next books in the trilogy! Easy and fun to read, I felt like I was a part of the story.

An epic mystery with twists and turns that keeps you on your toes. Found family, well choreographed fight scenes, and a pinch of spice.

I didnโ€™t realize until a bit of a twist happened how much I loved the dynamic between all of the characters. The storyline is full of action, mystery and even some paranormal aspects that leave you guessing the entire time. Even at the ending you have just enough questions that make you want to move along to the second book!
