Keo’s arc from spicy kitten to confident menace is so fun, and Sophie’s journey from her hero past to now is so satisfying. And the representation is thoughtful and respectful and never preaches too much to the choir. If you love dark fantasy with heart, a touch of spice, and characters you’ll root for, this one’s a must-read!
