The strength of the narrative lies in Rivers’ ability to create authentic and relatable characters. I was drawn into the inner struggles of Jasmine and T, as they grappled with societal expectations, self-discovery, and the courage to follow their hearts.

I loved the flow of the book and read it from cover to cover! I can’t count how many times the text lead to laughter due to relatability of the characters’ circumstances. I appreciated how real and honest the book is and absolutely loved all the references to the DMV!

…there is still something that draws Jasmine and T together. But it’s a push-pull relationship throughout, and we witness this through cleverly crafted dialogue. The short scenes are quickly paced as they alternate between the characters. Yet, readers still get the emotional undertones and the layers that make these women tick.
