Sometimes, even the Gods are powerless
Pelthiel and his sister have lived in their island home all his life with the memories of their mother’s cryptic last words to beware the Gods. With a mysterious prophecy and strange visions following him, Pelthiel is resolved never to let the Gods find him or destroy him as they did his father. However, everything changes when he has to reveal his powers in order to save a stranger from a storm.
When the man he rescued and fell in love with turns out to be the God, Zeityl, whose actions lead to the death of Leithia at the hands of the people of the city of Nagir, Pelthiel destroys the city and slaughters its people. Filled with remorse for his actions, Zeityl destroys himself, and Pelthiel withdraws from the world.
When a human mage is sent by the Gods to kill him, Pelthiel realises that staying away from the world is not the solution he had intended. No human or God can stand against him, but is his peace worth the cost of more lives?
