A loving husband asks for help cheering up his wife.

Kayla doesn’t like Christmas and her husband, Jude, respects that and never asks her to do Christmas stuff. But when he begins a new job at a tech start-up and needs to “fit in” with the “work hard, play hard” culture, he asks if she’ll attend just one Christmas party with him.

It’s not the worst thing, and she gets a quicky in his office out of the deal. But Jude still wants to make it up to her, especially since his long hours have meant he’s had less time to meet her needs.

So, for Christmas Eve, in an attempt to take her mind off things and give her the desires she’s been playing off as just dirty talk fantasies, Jude sets her up with three trysts: an old flame, a recent crush, and a man who can keep her company during his late nights.

Seriously. For such a short story, it’s so sweet. Who do I need to write a letter to if I want a partner like this, because Sir is incredible. The fact that he is so aware of her insecurities and reassures her every step is perfect. I’m genuinely jealous of these fictional characters.
