Humans have been adrift in the universe for generations, but none more than Rosellia Miller. Having already lost two homes, she and her parents join a group of human refugees searching for a safe place to live. Limping along in their dilapidated vessel, the humans travel from planet to planet seeking fuel, supplies, and shelter. Standing in his way are his father’s shameful reputation, his grandmother’s heartless schemes, and his Head of House, who controls those under him with unchecked power. Tomis is determined to put his mark on Theranni politics and shake up their societal order for the better, but first, he has to play by the rules.
