They Should Have Listened
The cursed tree has exacted its revenge for generations. It is 1880 in New Jersey. Hanford has finally found a woman he can love. Will her past come back to hurt them? Will the ancient curse doom their love? What will happen when love, logic, and the curse collide?
I enjoyed it thoroughly. … It’s a good solid story, told well. It reminds me of a two-part or three-part episode of “The Twilight Zone”. Maybe there’s a movie deal for this one.

The Author used two different historical periods throughout the book and then a third at the end to emphasize “the curse”. It moved quickly and the characters were developed well. This book was a great summer read, short enough to finish on a long flight or two shorter sittings. It kept my attention and interest from the first page through the last.

This is a very well written story. It is full of suspense and intrigue. The threat of curse and superstition add to the thrill with just enough romance to lighten it. The ending is as suspenseful as the story itself.
